Namely, people that have trouble sleeping can fix their problem with a salt and sugar mix. Both of them are like batteries for the cells. Glucose enables the flow of energy to the mitochondria. The balance of sodium in the between-cell fluids lets the cells breathe and produce energy. Moreover, both of them are tools to help you manage stress.

Sugar sends the body signals to stop releasing stress
hormones which have bad effects on the metabolism and cause insomnia. Salt is
important for hormone balance, especially adrenaline. Therefore, if you often
wake up in the middle of the night and feel the adrenaline rushing through your
body, maybe this salt and sugar mix is the solution for you.

How to prepare the sleeping mix?

The ratio between the salt and sugar should be 1:5. It is best to use unrefined sea salt and quality brown sugar. If you can’t get those, you can use regular ones.

Mix 5 tablespoons of sugar with 1 tablespoon of salt and put
them in a glass jar. This mix will lat you a long time. Before sleeping, or
when you wake up during the night, put a bit of the mix under your tongue and
let it dissolve. You will fall asleep in a matter of minutes and you will wake
up feeling rested.
