11 Keto Starbucks Drinks to Fuel Your Unhealthy Coffee Obsession

11 Keto Starbucks Drinks to Fuel Your Unhealthy Coffee Obsession

Just because you started the keto diet doesn’t mean you have to give up your favorite Starbucks drinks. It’s true, and I’m here to show you how. With a little help from this guide, you’ll soon be able to order keto Starbucks drinks to fuel your coffee obsession, without second-guessing yourself!

I’ll admit it – I was really confused when I first started trying to figure out how to order keto Starbucks drinks.

But there’s good news: I am now a pro at making keto-friendly Starbucks drinks, and after reading this, you will be, too!

Keto Substitutes at Starbucks

Let’s go through the basics first before we get to the keto Starbucks drink orders below.

These are general rules of thumb, so as long as you follow them, you should be able to enjoy a Starbucks drink every day without going over on carbs.

By default, Starbucks uses 2% milk in drinks unless you specify otherwise.

Since milk contains a lot of carbs (12g per cup!), you’ll want to replace it with one of the options below:

  • Heavy cream (+ water)
  • Unsweetened almond milk
  • Unsweetened coconut milk

However, you don’t want to order a drink that’s 90% heavy cream and 10% coffee. Your calories will be through the roof. Instead, the milk substitutes should be used to add creaminess and flavor and NOT be used as the base.

When the majority of the drink is made of milk, ask for 1/4 heavy cream and 3/4 water. This way there’s still plenty of liquid but not as many calories or carbs!

In terms of sweeteners, you can either ask for Stevia or bring your favorite low-carb sweetener with you.

Starbucks also has these zero-calorie, zero-carb syrups that are the bomb:

  • Sugar free vanilla syrup
  • Sugar free cinnamon dolce syrup

There used to be more sugar free syrups to choose from, like the sugar free mocha syrup, but currently these two are the only ones Starbucks still carries.

Unfortunate, I know, but at least they still have some!

As you can see, there are plenty of low-carb alternatives to add to your Starbucks drink so you can still enjoy Starbucks without all the carbs.

What to order:

  • Grande Americano
  • Splash heavy cream
  • Foam
  • Optional: Sugar free vanilla syrup

Fortunately, there’s a way around all those carbs (and calories) and it still makes for a refreshing and delicious Starbucks frap with only 1g net carbs.

And the best part? You can still get a little bit of whipped cream on top and only add 2g carbs!

  • Splash heavy cream
  • 2 pumps sugar free vanilla syrup
  • Double blended
  • Optional: Cinnamon powder (add 1g carbs, 6g protein, 30 calories)
