7 ways to enhance your weight loss with essential oils

When we think about weight loss, a few things come to mind, eating well and exercising but did you think about weight loss with essential oils?

I know I didn’t think about using them to support my metabolism initially. I did, however, start using them as additional support to my meal and exercise plans. I have to say, they definitely helped but don’t expect them to work as well without using them in combination with the other two.

It can be hard to know exactly how to use your oils, especially if they’re new to you and your life. In this post, I want to demystify them and show you how can use essential oils to support your metabolism and help you lose weight.



It’s been common knowledge for a long time that grapefruit can help you lose weight and support your metabolism. Remember the grapefruit diet? Well, you can get the same benefits by putting 1-2 drops of grapefruit oil in your drink bottle and sip throughout the day.

It’s also thought that grapefruit helps you to create a positive relationship with your body. For this, you can use it in the diffuser or add it your body scrub. Like with all citrus,  just be careful of exposure to the sun for 12 after applying it to the skin.

2. Helichrysum

This is one of the lesser-used oils but it’s been one that has really blown my mind. For the purpose of this blog post, I’ll talk about it in terms of metabolism support but I’ve found it to be great for skin and for healing on the skin.

Helichrysum is known to support the metabolism, meaning that it could help you lose weight when combined with a healthy meal and exercise plan.

To use Helichrysum, place a drop or two into your water or within a veggie capsule.

3. Cassia

Cassia is from the cinnamon plant, from the bark of the plant. It’s more pungent than the cinnamon bark essential oil.

The way that Cassia can help with your weight loss goals is that it aids digestion. When taken internally within a veggie capsule, it has a cleansing effect. Place 1-2 drops of cassia and lemon within the veggie capsule. This combination also helps to suppress hunger, something that is beneficially when losing weight.

4. Fennel

Fennel can be super useful when trying to reduce your sugar intake. It helps to curve the sugar craving, something that can really help you with your weight loss plan. Reducing your sugar intake is essential when losing weight.

On top of that, Fennel is thought to cleanse the digestive system, help reduce bloating and help support your metabolism. Fennel can be taken internally within your water or in a veggie capsule.

5. Slim and Sassy blend

It’s such an easy way to reduce your calorie intake and stay in ketosis!
